Two or three years ago the Wimer covered bridge fell down with some people in it, lucky no one got hurt.
So the community really wanted the bridge back, so they got part of the money from the state highway department and the rest was done by the locals. The wood for the beams and what have you were cut from tree right around the valley. It should be done by summer.

I live in this community and didn't even know they had started the rebuild! LOL
I still can't believe the old bridge fell down. I remember going on field trips there when I was in grade school at Evans Valley. We did one to see the bridge and learn about the history of Wimer (probably not a lot there), and another to see the creek and learn about the Ecosystem a little bit.
