This is a hike that I would like to do one of these days. Not a long one, its about 1.5 miles to the top, from the parking area. The only thing is that as you get closer to the top, you have to crawl over the rock for the last 300 yards. I was there about mid August and was checking it out, and you could easy do this in 1 to 2 hours.Pilot Rock can been seen from most place on I-5 when passing through the area.

Where along I-5 is it located?? I'm trying to picture it.
As your driving south over the pass into Calf. You can't miss it.
It really looks bigger from I-5 then it really is ?
