Out caching in Gold Hill and these birds, these Big Birds were watching over the cache or guarding the cache. (about 6 or 8)I was only able to get with in about 50 feet of the nearest one. So I'm not complete sure of what there are.
They look like Buzzard, but I have learned that is a Turkey Vulture, because of the skinned head, like a wild turkey.

LOL to what Fiona said...when I was a kid we used to bury ourselves in the sand at specks pond (which is now on Redthorne near us) and wait for these birds to think we were dead. They would start circling around our heads and we REALLY thought they were going to peck our eyes out!
Creepy bird! That would be a good Halloween cache. I am glad the bird didn't peck your eyes out.
