The Town Of Copper

Where has the town of Copper gone.
This video is of the place at the bottom of Applegate Lake, where the town of Copper was located. This was a old mining town not far from the bigfoot trape.
When Shannon and I walk down the road to the bottom, we came to a place where a bridge had been, and off to the right was a open area where the GPS point to the place of the old town center.
The town was removed when the Applegate Lake Dam was build in 1974.
As you can see there nothing left of the town.

What Parenting Works From The Freak Book

Some of the thing that can make a positive or negative on test scores in school.
The 8 factors that do:

The child has highly educated parents.

The child's parents have high socioeconomic status.

The child's mother was 30 or older at the time of her 1st child's birth.

The child had low birth weight.

The child parents speak English in the home.

The child's is adopted.
The child's parents are involved in the PTA.
The child has many books in his home.

The 8 factors that don't:

The child's family is intact.

The child's parents recently moved into a better neighborhood.
The child's mother didn't work between birth and kindergarten.

The child's parents regularly take him to museums.

The child is regularly spanked.

The child frequently watches T.V.

The child's parents read to him nearly every day.

If you look closely at the two list you will find that;
First list is, that parents are.
Second list is, things that parents do.
Funny thing, neither list doesn't brings up how much you love your kid, and if this is a positive or negative effect on there lives ?

Book Report Time

FREAKONOMICS
By
Steven D. Levitt
Stephen J. Dubner
The is the weird book that I've been reading.
It talks about, cheating Sumo wrestlers and school teacher and how they did it.
How the KKK was broken up, by publicizing there secrets pass words.

Why drug dealer still live at home with there Moms.
What parenting works, to gave your kids better scoring on school test.

Talks about and man who names one son Loser and another Winner and how there life's came out. To show that what you name your kids doesn't make any different.
And the one thing I thought was shocking, was about how crime was lowered, and it all started in the 1970's.
So If you don't have a really good book to read and you like facts and figures here you go.
I rate books from one to five stars.
So this is a 2 star.

Names??

Been reading this weird book about weird stuff and one of these weird thing that was in the weird book was; Could your Name determine if you would be successful or not in life.
So these weird guys that wrote this book, got together to to make a weird list of name that would be popular by the year 2015.
So I'm only adding the list of boys name, because we are having two grand baby boys and the name have not been pick yet.
Remember this is for 2015.

Aidan, Aldo, Anderson, Ansel, Asher, Beckett, Bennett, Carter, Cooper, Finnegan, Harper, Jackson, Johan, Keyon, Liam, Maximilian, McGregor, Oliver, Regan, Sander, Sumner and Will

The list is interest, but I'm not sure if I would like to be called by any of these, maybe they grow on you if you use them enough.
If a bunch of new born, come out with these name, you will know were it came from.
These name are to be the most popular, not sure if this makes you popular.
By the way, according to the book, your name dose NOT determine if your successful or not. LOL

2007 Apple Crop

The apple crop for 2007 was really good, as you can see from the picture the wheelbarrow is very full.
I spent about and hour picking these up and shaking more out of the tree so I wouldn't have to pick this tree up again.
We have two more tree to clean-up after, one these will be another barrow full.
I don't think we have every had the trees this load in the 21 years that we're have live here.
